We have a clustered Hyper-V server running Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2. If we run a GRT enabled backup of the this hyper-v server, we get the following error:
Backup- VRTSRV::\\MSCLUSTER\Hyper-V?HA?VM\V-79-57344-65097 - Error. Cannot backup directory \zzzVirtApp001zzz and its subdirectories.
The disks inside the Hyper-V server in question are not GPT and drives are not volume mount points, they are standard, basic disks. The server is not a DC and does not run any version of SQL.
I have reviewed this technote: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH163814 and have installed hotfix 167791 but am still getting the error.
Is there anything further I need to do to resolve this issue? It seems odd that Symantec have released hotfixes to address errors almost identical to the one I am experiencing but they do not actually resolve the BE error.
Thanks,
James
