DR File location

Hi

I have a 5220 appliance for our backups - other than that everything else is Windows.

I think I read that Linux cannot save a DR file onto windows files servers - is that correct?

if so how do I save it to an alternative server - I don't want to save it on the appliance itself as this may be an issue if the Appliance suffers a disaster.
